1. Who we are
The controller of your personal data is MELO Studio (melostudio8.com). Contact for any privacy question: alex@melostudio8.com.
2. What we collect and why
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email, phone or messenger (optional), organisation name, town/city, your comment | Replying to your request, sending the free script and a quote | Steps at your request before a contract; our legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| IP address and time of submission | Protecting the form from spam and abuse | Legitimate interest |
We do not collect any data about students through this website. Photos for a film are shared only after the script is agreed, under a separate agreement with the school, which is responsible for parental consent.
3. Cookies and analytics
We do not use tracking cookies. Visit statistics (page views, video plays, button clicks) are collected by a cookie-free analytics tool that does not store IP addresses or identify visitors.
4. Where data is stored and who receives it
Enquiries are stored with our hosting provider Railway Corporation (servers in the USA and EU); email is handled by Google Workspace. Our team in Kazakhstan can access them to reply. International transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses. We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiry data: up to 3 years after our last contact, or until you ask us to delete it. Photos used to make a film: deleted within 30 days of delivery.
6. Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing alex@melostudio8.com. We reply within one month.
7. Cold emails
If you received an email from us, your organisation’s address was taken from a public source (an official register or your organisation’s website); the source is named in the email footer. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we stop immediately if you ask.
8. India
We process digital personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. Where a school shares students’ photos with us, the school obtains verifiable consent of parents or guardians. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; if your concern is not resolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
